Hello President!!
This week was amazing, we had work and more work. The training meeting and your letter helped us to increase our vision, specially to me. I'm so grateful because I know that our work is to share the Gospel with everyone, it doesn't matter if we are in Guerrero and there are not much people, our work is to contact all of them and teach them, so we will find those who are ready to receive and live the Restored Gospel. During the last two weeks we have been talking with more people; more people are hearing the message of the Restored Gospel and more people is learning the needing to be baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ. I so happy but sometimes is unbelievable the hardness of the heart of the people, they prefer to live under their potential and blessings that our Heavenly Father wants to give them. This week we invited 22 times to baptism and 8 persons accepted their commitments, I'm sure that they felt that their lives will be blessed if they do that things, but on Sunday, they forget that feelings and they aren't able to leave the things of the world, so we had just one 15 years boy at Church.
I'm grateful because you taught us the real vision, I understand the promise about 3 real converts of 300 contacts and 30 persons being taught :) I know that Jesus, our young investigator is the promise of the Lord. He is very strong and he is learning more and more and he always want to learn more about our God and His blessing. He wants to be baptized right now but we taught and the understood the importance of attend 5 times to Church. We are working with his Grandma, she is member and we are strengthening her testimony.
I can fell that our district is understanding the vision, Sister _____ and Sister ______ are contacting the people in their area, there are not much of people, but their are doing their best. Elder _____ and Elder _____ are doing it too and my companion and me are learning each day about the basic principles of the work, and I know if we improve in our power to teach and commit people we will find those that the Lord has promised us.
The vision is clearer and the consistency help us to keep it clear. We will continue talking with everyone and bringing them the opportunity to use their moral agency, that is our purpose here in the earth, we are helping our Eternal Father to realize his work.

No better time than here in the mission to learn this principle. These amazing young people only have 18-24 months to serve in this once in a life time opportunity- and the rest of their lives to talk about it. Not wasting a moment, and taking advantage of every opportunity to open our mouths and share the message we have, can change the course of generations to come.

To our missionaries, "Don't waste one more minute- have no regrets on your return home. People have been prepared to hear your message. Now is the time to find them and share your message."

Dear President,
Firstly, Rebeca was baptized and is officially a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! Whoo :) Such a stressful experience to get it all put together and make sure people will be there and the plans, etc.. but it all came together and we had all the help we needed and it was a very special night! She was so happy! Especially because both of her sons were there to support her.. they arent members or interested, but they both sincerly thanked me and Hna. ________ because their mom was so happy. Such a special night! I love being able to be apart of peoples lives here in Mexico! What a privilegio!

The Familia Flores is so great to help with our investigators so much! They make them feel so loved! For example, last night we had a FHE with them and watched The Testaments (again) and it was great! Our investigators (Fam. Flores-Prieto) all cried and were touched. It makes such a difference when the members work with the missionaries! They progress so much!

Well, I want to finish off this email with a scripture in John 10:10 that we used at Rebecas baptism,"I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." I love this scripture! In the footnote for the word abundantly, it says "happiness".. Christ came to this earth so that we could have happiness! Here on earth and into the eternities. We cant waste this blessing he has given to us. Enjoy everyday and try to be just a little happier for your everyday moments. Thats something i am trying to do here in the mission!
Thank you for all you do!
Hna. Y

Our mission has a policy of the Elders getting to baptize only one convert their entire mission. Their other baptisms are performed by members of the Ward so that they have an interest, connection, and obligation to assist in teaching the investigators before and after baptism. Most often ward mission leaders, bishopric members, member neighbors, or family members are doing the baptizing. Our missionaries transfer often throughout the area and so the converts cannot solely depend and lean on the missionaries specifically. It has been a great change in the mission over the last year and the missionaries understand and are supportive of this protocol. So if you see a missionary in white attire with his name tag on you know this is his first baptism- and an extra special reason to CELEBRATE!

This sister is preparing to enter the  mission field- the sister missionaries have changed the pulse of the Mexico Pachuca Mission. Just 14 months ago we started with 6 sisters and now have 80+.
Our Elders are such great examples to those preparing to serve.

(Sister from Utah who has been here 5 months and is training another new sister after her own first 12 weeks- they are dynamite together and it will be a sad transfer when they split apart!)

Hola Presidente! Well another week in the books and the mission continues to get better. Yesterday our convert Alejandro received the priesthood! :) so that was absolutely awesome. This week we really tried to focus on the things we needed to improve on personally and as a companionship. We have still been seeing progress with a lot of our investigators but they will soon be baptized and so ovbiously we have to always be on the search for new ones! And that has been a difficulty for me. I havent quite figured out the best way for me to be succesful in this part of the mission. I know i need to work on my contacting as that as well is a weakness but ahi vamos :) So this week with investigators we still have Concepcion and her husband Pablo and Concepcion yeah is ready to get baptized and wants to! She is just waiting for Pablo to receive his answer. We had a great noche de hogar this week with them and when we visited them later on in the week Pablo said that he didnt think it would take much longer to feel like he was ready. We also had a prayer kneeling down and he said it in his propio language and the spirit was so strong and he got really emotional but he still didnt say yes for sure! But we also have leticia and Atenea and they are loving everything we are teaching them. They were testigos de jehova and they also know quite a bit about catholics but its like everything we teach they were looking for that type of perspective. After one lesson Leticia said that God had them prepared and she literally took the words right out of my mouth! In the begining of my mission i struggled to really believe that yes there are people that have been prepared but i cannot deny it now. I have seen it three times with my own eyes, we simply are the instruments in the Lords hands and when we are led by the spirit he leads us exactly where we need to go. As a companionship i feel as though we are truly growing, we both realize we have faults but i love that hermana ______ has the disposition to do something about it and change the things we need to. It helps me want to be better and try to be as much like my savior as possible. Alright well i think that is all for this week :) Thank you! Love you!  Hna. R

Often P-Days are such a blessing to regroup and take a breather- we appreciate the good members who often accompany them or invite them to beautiful sites near their homes. Because of safety in Mexico we have strict guidelines regarding missionaries in public. No more than 4 missionaries can be out in a public place at once. The missionaries have been such good sports and are obedient to this mission rule. Thank you Elderes and Hermanas

Monday afternoon picnic-

The second part of that rule is if they have a district activity (max 2 a cycle); or zone activity (1 per cycle) they are allowed only at the church. Elder Santos (red) loves  soccer and so any excuse to do this for a district activity makes his day!

HI PRESIDENTE!!!

THIS WEEK WAS AWSOME, WE HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE IN THE BAPTISMS, WE WAS VERY SCARED, OH IT`S A GREAT HISTORY, WE ARE VERY NERVOUS, EVERYTHING WENT WELL, IN THE FIRST AND THE SECOND BAPTISM, BUT IN THE THIRD BAPTISM, ALL PEOPLE, WAS VERY NERVOUS, CAUSE THE YOUTH THAT REALIZED THE ORDINANCE, HE HAD TO BAPTIZE FOR THREE TIMES, AND IN THE THIRD TIME, THE CHILD WAS SHAKING FOR THE NERVOUS, ONE OF THE MEMBER CAME WITH US, AND HE COMFORTED AND THEN WE DID A PRAYER WITH THE CHILD, OK THEN THE CHILD SE ARMO DE VALOR :) AND HE ENTER IN THE FONT AND THE YOUTH REALIZED THE ORDINANCE AGAIN, WITH THE HELP OF ANOTHER MEMBER. IN THIS TIME ALL THINGS WAS GOOD. WE ARE VERY NERVOUS, BUT WE KNOW THAT HE NEED TO BAPTIZE IN THAT THEY.

PRESIDENT I AM SO GREATFUL FOR THE WORK OF THE MEMBERS, BEFORE THE MEMBERS NO NOS APOYABAN, BUT NOW THE MEMBERS MAKE THE DIFERENCE, WE HAD THE GOAL TO WORK WITH MEMBERS I KWON THAT THEY ARE THE KEY IN THAT WORK.

IN THIS NEXT WEEK WE CAN IMPROVE THE VISION OF THE ZONE, SOME OF THE ELDERS AND SISTER, COMPLETE WITH THE LESSONS STANDARS, BUT WE ARE VERY FOCUS IN TEACH PEOPLE NOT LESSONS, WE KNOW THAT WE NEED TO PUT BAPTISMAL DATES, AND THEN THE INVESTIGATORS NEED TO GO CHURCH, WE WILL USE THE BASIC POINTS: TESTIMONY IN THE BOOK OF MORMON, STRENGTH THE TESTIMONY OF THE INVESTIGATORS IN THE SACRAMENT, AND THEIR PRAYERS, FOR RECEIVE REVELATION.

PRESIDENT I VERY GREATFUL FOR THIS AREA, WE SAW MIRACLES, YESTARDAY ONE OF THE LESS ACTIVE MEMBER CAME TO THE CHURCH AND SHE SAID, "SORRY ELDERS I CAME TO THE CHUCRH CAUSE I HAVE A FAMILY THAT I WANT THAT YOU TEACH THEM, :) I THINK THAT THEY WANT TO BAPTIZE" :) Y HACE UN MES , LLEGARON LOS INVESTIGADORES QUE BAUTIZAMOS EL FIN DE SEMANA.

THANKS FOR ALL PRESIDENT I LOVE YOU
ELDER V

It is an example of great faith when investigators ask the missionaries to help them with habits that are hard to break- and with everyone's faith and prayers it is done time and time again.

Birthdays in the mission are memorable. Elder Pena (above) celebrating his little sisters birthday while in the mission. And (below) looks like Hermana Nielsen had someone make her a special birthday cake.

Alright who was the creative ones that delivered these?

This week was very interesting ... because they spent good very incredible things I tell you that this week the baptisms they had in the ward was very spiritual we podimos each feel the spirit but in particular I could feel the spirit I testify that I am the I really feel like my heart is made large to have a joy in this work and the church and seeing people making covenants with our heavenly Father as well as I'm improving some personal goals that I have set and would like to share with you good the first is I'm helping elder ____ in his assignment as the leader of the district, the second is that am building a conversion, and a great love for the people who we teach, and the third is to get done and forget myself and let some networks that now I recognize I distracted a little work as I would like also to say that I am completely emocinado the elder ____ progress and I are taking are working hard and are having great success and we owe thanks to the divine aid received from god , giving us goals and have a larger vision that we both want to be the best missionaries in this work and the great leaders of the church that it is accomplished by what soul taught his son "by small and simple things are great things". President I am so happy for the love you've accomplished- obedience and above all I had and I have positive proof as D & C teaches law irrevocably decreed in heaven when blessings come to that law is that in which all things are based is obeyed.
well I love you a ton you two- Love you Elder C

Dear President Egbert:
For this week i just have one word "wow". We worked hard and i have many feelings in my heart. First of all, that i felt the grace of my Savior helping me going trough , in this week we recieved many blessings from our FATHER.
On Wednesday we were in our district meeting and we received a call from Hna Silvia and she said : " Hermanas, my daughter Sarai wants to take baptism this saturday too ". Well president we have almost 5 months with them and Sarai always said "No" but i was surprised when i see her desire, and the most perfect moment was when her sister Lupita ( she took a baptism on May) saw her dressed in white and said "Saraaaaaaaaaaaai is going to take a baptism!!" after that they hugged each other and they start to cry and the parents too. And all the family are members of the Church now, and they are working to be an eternal family.
On sunday we were on church to have an activity and all the members needed to make an cupcake or bread for the less active families, Familia Vazquez was there, and after the activity they shared their testimony, President i saw their change i saw how they have a smile in their faces, i saw the love that the brother has for his wife and his children, and above all the tears of happiness of a faithful young woman who changed her family completely.
Yes, miracles just happen.
I know that all the efforts in the missionary work count for our Father, now I'm so happy , my companion is amazing she teach me many things, and the first thing is love.
With love, Hermana C

Hola Presidente!
Tengan bonita semana.
Con mucho amor,

Hermana G

Now, this is a good looking group of missionaries!

"This snake photo has a story- we were talking to an investigator at the door and a girl approaches us and tells us that his mother calls for us. In the distance we saw a Mom calling and we quickly left, and she said: 'I have heard that the elders help everyone, I want you to help me, I have a snake in my house and need to be taken out because I have so much fear', then I was unsure what to do so we enter with much curiosity. I took the picture and we left the snake in the field behind her house. She is now a investigator. This is great."

Our missionaries are the"bestes"- The Actopan district sent this picture to President wishing him a Happy Birthday - and yes he is only #25 years old! Thank you for making his day extra special...

What a blessing these four missionaries have of the pyramids in there back yard!

Hermana Rojas and Hermana Suazo

I don't what it is- but when the missionaries know this is where they are supposed to be at this time in their life, and forget themselves and get to work these smiles automatically appear! This work is hard work, but happy work!

What's for dinner?

Oh- we are so grateful for the blessing of bikes in many of our areas!

Elder Stewart and this member from the ward on divisions and making the most of their day while the other companion is with other members. We so appreciate the support and help of members. When members are involved in the work it is so much more effective!

What are you doing at home to help your missionaries move the Work of Salvation forward? Members now accept a much larger role in finding people for the missionaries to teach.

Come on, get up! Do something today... don't just think about it!

Santa came early and delivered us these awesome bikes! Thank you...

I was checking on a house we closed down for two cycles and surprised this district by showing up with a little treat after their district meeting. They panicked for two seconds thinking I was there to check their houses, but no -we had a great chat around the table in the church- they totally made my day!

President and I love our missionaries!!!

On occasion we have to move missionaries to other houses but we don't panic as they are so great helping each other out. The district leaders had left already but they hauled all the beds and furniture and the sister leader trainers assisted in the move as well; helping put away everything and re-setting up "home away from home" for Hermana Riding and Hermana Sosa. (2 sisters in the middle)

(English Speaking Missionary- who has been serving 23 months)
Buenas Tardes Presidente!
